Since its foundation as Friedrich Sanner Cork Cuttery and Cork Store in 1894, Sanner has developed many products that have become a common standard today. And the company continues to develop further:
Friedrich Sanner
1894 Foundation of Friedrich Sanner Cork Cuttery and Cork Store in Bensheim in the Hessische Bergstrasse region.
Manufacturing of cork stoppers for the regional wine industry. Steady expansion and refinement of the cork stoppers portfolio for a variety of application fields.
Otto Sanner
1937 Otto Sanner takes over the company.
Expansion of product portfolio by cork stoppers for closing tablet tubes. This became the basis of further company development and the specialization onto closures for the pharmaceutical and food supplement industries.
Implementation of a new plastic processing division.
Implementation of a toolmaking and engineering division to develop injection molding tools.
Rolf Sanner
1957 Rolf Sanner joins the company.
1959 Product launch of desiccant closures. They represent a totally new closure type protecting the packaged product from moisture and maintaining its quality. Dessicant closures came as a true innovation in the tablet and medicament closure market.
Continuing focus on special closures for the chemicals/pharmaceuticals industry. By means of own patents, acquisition of licenses, improved manufacturing processes and newly developed machines, market success was extended.
1970 Decommissioning of cork production.
1989 Construction of first cleanroom.
Ute Sanner-Friedrich und Jürgen Sanner
Today the associates Ute Sanner-Friedrich and Jürgen Sanner represent the 4th generation in charge of the company.
Continuous refinement of plastic injection molding production, increasing flexibility in manufacturing and automation, extension of cleanroom capacities.
IT-based intermeshing of all internal processes creates the basis for an efficient and modern production.
Implementation of innovation management to deploy new product ideas, techniques and materials.
Today, CEO Holger Frank is in charge of the operational business.
