Sanner started with the production of cork stoppers. Over the years, our product range has constantly been refined and further developed. New business fields and more advanced materials have led to successful growth, increasing specialization, a variety of patents and awards.
Find out how we got from cork to plastics:
At the end of the 19th century, industrial manufacturing of cork stoppers came as a major advance. Technological advance is still the focus of our strategy. From day to day, our engineers and innovation team deal with the same kind of questions: What has not yet been invented? What product would make everyday life easier - namely production for our customers and handling for end users? The answers our experts find are always different and completely new.
When plastic injection molding came up around 1950, we specialized in closures for the pharmaceutical and medical industry. In those times, plastic was a revolutionary material which we used in the design of desiccant closures. This Sanner product changed the world of packaging. For the first time ever, a dessicant was integrated into packaging. This creates a microclimate protecting the product from outside moisture.
But to us, the question how a product may be bottled, transported and hygienically stored is not the only interesting one. We also want to know how easily a product could be removed or dosed. This is a question that lead to the development of, e.g., the Automatic Dosing Device. We are constantly working on new solutions and systems. Our cross-process innovation management is a key driver for creating new product ideas, using new technologies and materials. So what is your special packaging or removal challenge?
